Ladies and gentlemen, i'm back !! Hmm... Some people do missed me. (wink >> jass), hee...
Well, i spent most of my time shopping at BKK, spent less $$ then i expected to. (That's a good thing) ... Only bought 2 pyjamas, 2 sandals, 6 bras, and 1 pair of jeans (lor), my dear only bought 1 tee (poor thing). But we bought alot for our beloved family members, we bought bags, jeans, tees, etc... later will attach the pics (it's not ready now).
For hotel, we stayed at "Asia Hotel", it's an old hotel (4 stars) in BKK but it's location is the best coz it's situated very near to their train station (BTS). For service, it's average only... SOME hotel staffs do greet us and their security system not so good coz their lifts are not secured with room keys. (so strangers can just go up to the hotel rooms) For complimentary breakfast, it's average too. The food tastes Ok with quite a wide variety... The only thing i don't like is the "stained sink" , there's a big yellow stain, yucks !! It's awesome!!
One more thing which BKK is famous in is "Jewel Scams" ... Cons will approach tourists on the streets (they are well dressed and have a good command in English, and some are "Lawyers"),
and tell you about the " LUCKY BUDDHA TEMPLE". And it's the "Buddha's birthday" that day, thus you are "LUCKY" to be informed. Upon agreeing to go to the temple, he will flag for "Tuk Tuk" for u and bargain a good price, so '"KIND" (Actually, the Tuk tuk driver is also their accomplice coz they earn commison)... At the temple, there's another conman who will tell u about the "JEWEL SALE" which is "LAST DAY" (to public) of "SALE" too. And that he just bought some that day and everytime he will resell it double the price to Singapore Jewel Shops like "Poh Heng" and "Lee Hwa" Don't be fooled by these CONMANS coz those jewels are normally over priced and it's not worth that much.So BE CAREFUL if u are going to BKK, CONMANS ARE EVERYWHERE ON THE STREETS !! (Don't talk to strangers who are well dressed and over friendly)
Wow!! long entry today, hee ... That's all for my conclusion for my Bangkok trip, went back to work today and feels kinda "lazy" (holiday mood still on ). Good night !!
